Background
iCREW is born from a joint development partnership between CN and HCL-AXON where it is an industry
standard solution based on SAP solutions for transportation personnel. iCREW is an end-to-end solution
for administering, assigning, planning, dispatching and paying crews. It improves operation efficiency and
effectiveness by reducing risk and operation costs. The solution expands SAP HCM processes and
functionality to address a few key functionalities: vacation bid and award processing, seniority roster and
board structures, bulletin, bid and award processing, crew planning and balancing, and crew dispatching
and integrated voice response (IVR) integration.

Responsibilities

To analyze and estimate time for the task which is assigned by Team Leader or from SAP functional specification.
To discuss the requirements with SAP HR Functional Consultant and Team Leader to understand the scenario.
To amend the workbench in SAP and work together with FLEX developer.
To test the workbench in SAP and create test result documentation before passing it to SAP functional consultant for testing.
To inform onshore SAP functional consultant for testing.
Once testing is completed, sign off APSE with supporting document.

Deliverables

Core 1.0 Delivery

Webdynpro: Crew Order Profile workbench (To convert ABAP Webdynpro to FLEX by integrating both to
enable both to communicate)

2. Core 2.0 Delivery

ABAP Webdynpro: Enhance the current version of system (new fields and screen added, different design
as in interface and architecture, and more validation has been implemented)
ABAP OO: Create more classes and methods and amend the existing methods for new requirements
3. Optimization activities
To convert all the labels, titles and button text into OTR (Online Text Repository) to support multi
languages (2 phases).
To fix defects after Core 2.0 deliveries.
To tune up all the codes including Wedynpro and methods within class for reducing processing time
To redesign a workbench (line segment) to cater for multiple languages.
To involve in lookup activities; which enable to display the record information the on right panel.
To enhance workbench to support BCT (Business Continuity Tool) which allows system to continue
operate and backup during server maintenance.
To support, test and make necessary changes for “Second to 0 display”; which will drop the second
or remain the second in time format.
To enhance existing reusable webdynpro component to be dynamic and share across workbenches

5. Localization (CN Project Implementation)
To receive Functional Design (FD) and do enhancement to the workbenches.
To prepare training and exercise material for KT Transition.
To conduct KT Transition iCREW knowledge for 1 week in Bangalore, India.
To onsite support by providing guidance and exercises for both iCREW product and project teams
for 2 weeks in Bangalore, India.
